Discover the traditional art of Dabu block printing in Bagru, a historic artisan town near Jaipur known for its centuries-old textile traditions. Hosted inside a working artisan workshop, this immersive experience introduces travellers to the mud-resist printing techniques practised by the Chhipa community for generations.
Guests learn about natural dyes, hand-carved wooden blocks, mud-resist paste preparation, and the detailed printing and dyeing process that gives Dabu textiles their earthy textures and distinctive patterns. Participants can also try hands-on block printing under the guidance of skilled local artisans while gaining insight into Rajasthan’s rich craft heritage and sustainable textile traditions.
Along with artisan interaction, the experience may include a chai break, natural dye demonstrations, and optional lunch at the workshop, offering a deeper connection to Jaipur’s living craft culture beyond traditional sightseeing.
